I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council http://www.hcpc-uk.org/check/ , and have chartered status with the British Psychological Society https://www.bps.org.uk/public/find-psychologist . I am a member of the Association of Child Psychologists in Private Practice

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1993 at the University of Exeter and then my Masters degree at the University of Surrey. Training as a Clinical Psychologist involves a 3 year doctorate which I also completed at the University of Exeter, qualifying in 1998.
Since 1998 I have worked in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (NHS), at The University of Surrey on the Clinical Psychology Training Programme and in private practice. I have worked in many different clinics including those specialising in helping young people with ADHD, social communication disorders and eating disorders. I have worked alongside health visitors helping parents of younger children and also in a Youth Offending Team. I have provided the Clinical Psychology service to several schools for young people with a diagnosis of ASD / ADHD.
Training: I have completed a number of other training courses including Equine Assisted Psychotherapy; Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Forensic Adolescent Mental Health; Parenting Assessments and Reflective Practice; CBT supervision; The Supervisory Relationship; Supervision & Narrative Practices; Interpersonal Therapy (level A); Working from an Attachment Perspective; Acceptance & Commitment Therapy; ADHD assessment; and The Autism Diagnostic Interview.
I worked as a Senior Teaching Fellow on the Clinical Psychology Training Programme at The University of Surrey in Guildford for 14 years. Throughout this period I oversaw the development of Clinical Psychology trainees, taught on the training programme and provided training for supervisors. I also coordinated training placements based in children's services, and oversaw the selection process for the programme. I still input to the programme in terms of teaching and marking.
